Description from the seller
Elegant pair of solid brass candle holders with silver finish, made in Paris during the Belle Époque (circa 1890–1910) and signed A. Frénais – Paris, an goldsmith active between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Frénais's production was aimed at the Parisian bourgeoisie, attentive to material quality and discreet elegance in table and salon objects. His pieces still stand out today for their balanced proportions, fine lines, and durable silvering.

These brands guarantee the authenticity of the piece, its correct attribution, and original production, without modern re-gilding or recent reproduction.
The model is of Louis XVI / neoclassical style, with a slender shaft, molded central knot, and a circular base with steps: a balanced and harmonious line, typical of bourgeois salon furniture and Parisian reception interiors from the late 19th century. These are authentic objects, not modern copies.
In good overall condition, they retain an original patina consistent with their age. The silvering is original, unrestored, with slight signs of use, and the structure is solid and stable.
Refined decorative pieces that are elegant both in display and use, reflecting the cultivated domestic taste of the French Belle Époque.
