Description from the seller
PRESIDENT PHASE LAMP, PENDULO model.
Table lamp from the renowned Fase brand, the Presidente Péndulo model, in black. Designed by Industrias Fase (Luís Pérez De La Oliva and Pedro García Martín) in 1963.
This model, patented in 1963, was the most expensive of any other from the brand (according to the brand's catalogs, this model was 15% more expensive than the Fase Presidente). The base and shade are made of matte black lacquered steel. The arm is made of solid walnut wood and chrome-plated steel. The base rotates on the base. The arm is articulated, pivoting thanks to the counterweight at the end. The shade's ball joint allows for different positions.
This lamp is one of the early models: the original screw is made of iron and doesn't protrude. Except for the cable and plug, all other components are original.
Complete and in good condition, in perfect working order. In any case, it is recommended that the lamp be checked by a local electrician. The lamp is a vintage item and therefore shows signs of use and the passage of time. Please review the photographs carefully as they are part of the product description. A true gem for collectors and lovers of the finest industrial design.
Approximate dimensions; height 53 cm (can reach 70 cm), length 77 cm. Screen diameter 31 cm.
The Fase Presidente Pendulo is an icon of 1960s Spanish industrial design, possibly the most exclusive of all Fase designs. This is due, in addition to its indisputable aesthetic beauty, to the fact that it has been used countless times by art directors in the world of cinema as a prop for numerous Spanish and international films set in the 1960s and 1970s: The Holiday (Kate Winslet), Balenciaga (Disney+), Gloria (a Portuguese series on Netflix), Nicolas Bedos's "La Belle Époque," and Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's "Tierra Amarga" (Turkish series).
For safety reasons, the lamp will be shipped disassembled at the rear (counterweight). To assemble it, simply screw it in by hand. No tools are required for assembly.
