The Beatles are one of the most legendary rock groups. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, they are considered the most famous and influential group of rock's golden age. In the early 1960s, their popularity sparked "Beatlemania," and then, as their music became more sophisticated under the influence of key songwriters Lennon and McCartney, the four men began to be seen as representatives of 1960s counterculture. The cone is inspired by the mixing console knob at the famous Abbey Road studio, while the top of the cap evokes the microphone. The clasp symbolizes the Beatles' iconic moustache in their portrait.
