Description from the seller
Superb Nikon set dating from 1965: A Nikon F Photomic T chrome version SLR camera, accompanied by its ultra-bright 50 mm f. 1.4 lens and its dedicated BC-7 flash.
Brand specialists will note that the 'Nippon Kōgaku' logo is still engraved on the camera and lens; this logo will be gradually replaced by the simple mention 'Nikon' from the end of 1966; the flash, meanwhile, bears the inscription Nikon F.
The camera body and flash are offered with their original box; the flash comes with its case and instruction manual.
► The serial number of the case indicates that it was probably produced during the month of September 1965.
► The lens serial number indicates that it was manufactured in early 1966.
The camera body appears to be fully functional. The shutter responds correctly at all speeds, and these remain perfectly calibrated. However, the light meter could not be tested… and it has become difficult to find batteries that allow for optimal operation.
The mirror and viewfinder are clean, without marks or mold.
- The objective is also fully functional: the lenses are clean without any visible alteration, the diaphragm is perfectly calibrated.
It is offered with its original plugs (front & rear) and its dedicated sun visor.
The flash unit is also in perfect condition, offered in its leather case and instruction manual. It will need a battery and capacitor to function properly; these types of accessories are fairly easy to find at certain retailers, particularly in Germany or the Netherlands.
This rare and exceptional set, in this condition, will find a prime place in a Nikon collection.
