Description from the seller
This is "Muga Dōji 無我童子," a bronze sculpture created by the Unsui 雲水.
The artwork depicts a child, with his cheeks tousled by the spring breeze, wearing oversized geta sandals and a large kimono, as he walks with a carefree demeanor.
In Buddhist philosophy, the state of being detached and egoless is referred to as "muga," and it is depicted through the innocent figure of a child. The gold leaf background symbolizes sunlight, while the child, wearing a large reddish-brown kimono, stands expressionless.
