This artwork investigates the intimate union of human and nature through two figures sharing a kiss, their silhouettes clothed in a tangle of orange trees. The soft warmth of their skin contrasts with the lush greens of the leaves dotted by ripe fruits, creating a poetic dialogue between tenderness and vitality. By using textured brushes, reminiscent of oil and pastel, the piece retains the tactile charm of traditional media while taking advantage of the precision and flexibility of digital tools. A contemporary statement that brings warmth and symbolism, perfect for collectors who appreciate innovation in digital art.

ABOUT FELIX DIAZ DE ESCAURIAZA
Félix Díaz de Escauriaza is a Spanish artist (Madrid, 1983) specialized in editorial illustration and advertising illustration. He has worked on projects for clients such as Lancôme, Penguin Random House, L'Oréal, Nike, and the government of Madrid and his work has also been featured in renowned Spanish publications, including Vanity Fair, Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, GQ or TimeOut.

Félix began his journey working on physical supports and traditional canvases, but today he prefers the immediacy and flexibility of a fully digital workflow. Using an iPad and drawing directly with an Apple Pencil, he creates each illustration in Procreate, leveraging custom brush sets that faithfully mimic real-world media. His process is the same as that of traditional physical-media artists: from preliminary studies and hand‑drawn sketches to careful layering of color and texture. Here, however, every stroke is captured digitally ready to shine on fine art paper.

Félix’s architectural illustration work has been selected in 2025 for the site‑specific category of the prestigious World Illustration Awards, for his mural project commissioned by Prime Video.
