Description from the seller
I live and work in Slovakia, and delivery within the European Union takes 7–10 days.
In this painting, I wanted to merge the gentle emotional tone of a portrait with the vibrant texture of a decorative, dreamlike environment. The girl illuminated by turquoise light represents a moment of quiet introspection, a state in which a person seems to dissolve into their own thoughts. I surrounded her with large leaves, anthuriums, and imaginative blooms to create a garden existing somewhere between reality and dream.
I painted the piece with acrylics, building up layers gradually, and used texture paste to add depth and tactile relief to the background and ornamental forms. It was important to me that the surface felt alive — that the light would catch on the texture and reveal new nuances from different angles. The contrast between the smoothness of the portrait and the expressive relief around it brings both delicacy and richness to the composition.
“Girl in Turquoise Light” is my personal reflection on a moment of calm, where color, light, and silence find their own quiet voice.
