Large WW2 Medal Grouping 1st Armored Division 'Old Ironsides' with name engraved, originating from the United States.
Description from the seller
Offered for auction is a nice, original, and large medal grouping to Raymond (L) Lasonde, who was born in Massachusetts and served in WW2 in the European theatre of war with the 1st Armored Division 'Old Ironsides,' earning numerous medals, including the rare Leominster Massachusetts Victory Service medal, European and Med Campaign medal with 1 campaign star, Good Conduct medal (name engraved to him), Germany Occupation medal with bar, American Campaign Medal, WW2 Victory Medal.
He was born in 1919, enlisted in 1942 (see attached screenshots), and participated in the Italian and European campaigns. His service ended in 1945 when he left the Army. It's a very nice set altogether, which I have not researched in more detail due to lack of time. I don't know when or where he earned his medals in detail; this could be researched. I'm sure more can be found if one has the time to look for it.
Great medal grouping for your WW2 collection!
