AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pacifique Chair, designed in 1954 by Michel Buffet.

The Pacifique Chair is a masterclass in sculptural balance and organic form. Its fluid, low-slung silhouette invites relaxation, while the handwoven rattan structure offers a tactile and natural warmth. Originally created for a festival of French design organized by Galeries Lafayette in Paris, the chair was exhibited, produced, and commercially released that same year. The original model was registered with SPADEM and notably acquired by architect André Wogenscky, assistant to Le Corbusier, for his home in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, near Paris. Reissued today with fidelity to Buffet’s vision, the Pacifique Chair is a rare example of postwar French modernism reimagined for contemporary interiors.

This item currently retails over 2.000€ depending on the country.

Condition is brand new, directly supplied by Sika-Design. It comes in its original box and textile cover with all its tag, documents and protections.

We pack with great care, inside another box for extra protection.

Combined shipment with other lots in this auction is offered for no extra cost

We can provide an invoice for business buyers.
