In Kira Neón, I let the color breathe with the freedom of water. This imaginary creature emerges from the depths of my pictorial universe, a space where light and emotion blend like currents crossing beneath the sea. I paint from intuition, allowing each stroke to find its course, each tone to speak for itself, as if the canvas were an expanding reef.
Kira is not just a fish; she is an energy that dwells between the visible and the inner. Her body is made of liquid reflections, fragments of thought swimming in the silence of blue. In this work, I seek to capture that moment when imagination turns into a tide, when the gestural and the spiritual merge in a single breath.
Each work in the FishNeon series is a creature born from free gesture, an echo of my need to create worlds where art is an act of exploration. Kira Neón is my homage to the marine life that does not exist, but perhaps dreams of existing through painting. I live close to the Mediterranean Sea, and its influence on me makes me express marine feelings in my paintings.

Unique and Original Work
Each painting is a unique creation, sent directly from my studio. I use high-quality acrylics and oils, along with innovative mixed media techniques, including dripping, waxes, acrylic markers, pens, rollers, brushes, and spatulas. This combination allows me to achieve distinctive strokes and textures that bring my works to life.
To facilitate framing, each canvas includes an additional 5-centimeter margin on all sides. The edges are painted with a wrap-around finish, allowing the artwork to be appreciated in its entirety, whether framed with an American box or unframed. To ensure durability and protect the colors from UV rays, each painting receives a layer of high-quality satin varnish.

Images are illustrative and may not represent the exact scale of the work, so it is recommended to review the actual dimensions carefully.
Likewise, the colors displayed on the screen may differ slightly from the original tones of the artwork; in live viewing, it always improves.

Paintings are carefully rolled and securely packaged to facilitate transportation. Each shipment includes a printed certificate of authenticity, signed by me, Onofre Alarcón (O.A.), which certifies the exclusivity and originality of the artwork.

About me:
I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, driven by an unwavering passion for creative freedom and spontaneous expression. My creative process is fueled by a relaxed and stimulating environment, where chill-out music accompanies me, allowing me to channel my energy and give my best in every brushstroke. I am particularly drawn to the expressionist style, where emotion and subjectivity take center stage. Proximity to the Mediterranean has profoundly influenced my work, leading me to capture the beauty and power of the sea on numerous canvases. Additionally, cave art is a constant source of inspiration, and its primitive, essential strokes are often reflected in my creations. I consider myself an artist in constant evolution, exploring new techniques and styles, with vast creative potential. Each piece is a step forward in my artistic journey, pushing me to reach new goals.

Annual collaboration with the cultural movement Art al Balcó since 2020, contributing large-format works.
Author of the work for the official poster and cover of the Holy Week 2025 in San Juan de Alicante.
Individual exhibition: 'The Search', 2024 at the House of Culture of the City Hall of San Juan de Alicante.
More than 200 works, including oil paintings and acrylics, in private and public collections, with sales in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, and Ireland.
