We present a spectacular fossil vertebra of plesiosaur, a unique piece of large size and quality, originating from the phosphate mines of Khouribga, Morocco. This specimen stands out for its well-defined anatomical structure, with visible bone details and impressive proportions.
The vertebra has been professionally consolidated, with cracks filled to ensure its stability without compromising its authenticity. Due to its size and fragility, this fossil is a museum piece, ideal for scientific, educational exhibitions or high-level paleontological collections.
The plesiosaurs were marine reptiles from the Mesozoic era, known for their long necks, streamlined bodies, and powerful fins. This vertebra probably belonged to the cervical or dorsal region of a large adult individual.
