Description from the seller
At the turn of the last century, bicycle manufacturers August and Fred Duesenberg from Iowa were experimenting with gasoline engines, and in 1913, Duesenberg Automobile Motors built cars. E.L. Cord, who also owned Auburn, bought Duesenberg in 1926. The Duesenberg Model J was a luxury car produced from 1928 to 1937. More famous people purchased the Model J than any other American car. For the Tourster, Gordon Buehrig designed an improved system in which the second windshield could be folded down, instead of folding up like other phaetons, sliding behind the front seat. Toursters were exclusively built by the Derham Body Company in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, with only 8 units produced. Engine: 265 HP, 420 cubic centimeters in a straight 8-OHC engine. The Duesenberg J Derham Tourster of 1930 was manufactured on a traditional 1:24 scale. This precision die-cast model is assembled by hand from over 100 individual parts and finished to the highest quality standards.
