A good copy of Alfred Hargrove's 'Anecdotes of Archery' published in York, 1845. The second enlarged edition: with the six plates present as called for including frontispiece and the folding plate of the pedigree of Robin Hood. The titlepage printed in red, green and yellow.
8vo, bound in later half tree morocco over marbled boards, more recently rebacked, spine ornately gilt decorated. Plain endpapers.
The contents are complete, meeting collation: [ix], 316pp, all six plates present as called for (including frontispiece). With the folding pedigree of Robin Hood and extra ornamental title printed in red, green and yellow.
Condition: The restored binding is holding firmly and in good condition. Contents are holding firmly and in good clean condition, lightly toned with some sporadic foxing [notably toward endpapers], an occasional minor smudge or handling mark. Please see images for further condition.
