Mahogany Directoire four-drawer commode dating to ca. 1790–1805 in antique Directoire style with gilded brass hardware; height 100 cm, width 152 cm, depth 43–53 cm, each drawer with a working lock and key; made in the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Mahogany Directoire style four-drawer chest or commode with full pillars, cast brass fittings.
Gilded brass fittings on the pillars and capitals.
Each drawer with a working lock and its own key.
Cuba flower mahogany veneered on oak. Full oak back and interior drawers. In nice and ready-to-use condition. But could use some restoration.
Unique dimensions, it has always been a chest of drawers or commode. Not a shortened cabinet! Few pieces of furniture in this size.

B = 152 cm.
D = 43-53 cm.
Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of the construction and veneer.
Woodworm control: No live woodworms detected on 12/05/2025.
