Description from the seller
No reserve price!
Description: A beautiful Georg Jensen bottle opener, model Acorn (version 'Long Handle'). The handle is made of high-quality silver, and the top part is finished in high-gloss polished steel.
The Acorn cutlery in sterling silver, designed by Johan Rohde in 1915, forms one of the foundations of Georg Jensen's distinctive, organic, and timeless design style. While the Art Nouveau movement of the early twentieth century was often exuberant, Acorn opts for a more classic and subtle approach, where the decoration primarily serves to emphasize the shape and lines. The pattern, considered elegant and richly executed, previously consisted of as many as 220 different components.
