Ancient Chinese, Ming Dynasty Pottery Warrior Figure
Circa 14th-17th century AD
This impressive pottery figure represents a warrior, shown standing on a tall hexagonal plinth with hands positioned at the waist, holding maces. He wears elaborately detailed armour with overlapping plates, a scaled apron, and a high helmet with flared side guards and a decorative crest. The figure is glazed in tones of turquoise, green, and black, with areas of cream highlighting the ornamental details. The head is separately modelled and removable.

Provenance: Private European Collection; formerly acquired from old UK and European collection formed since the 1970s.
