Heart scarab from the Egyptian New Kingdom (19th Dynasty, ca. 1292–1186 B.C.), steatite with original paint and inscription, measuring 55 × 35 × 20 mm, associated with the H.A. Schlögl collection and published as Heart Scarab for Djed-Chons, Godfather of Amun-Re, in excellent condition and acquired from a private collection in Germany in 2024.

Heart scarab for Djed-Chons, the God's Father of Amun-Re.
Provenance: Collection of the famous Egyptologist Hermann A. Schlögl (PDF file from Schlögl with collection number 565), acquired at the IADAA Galerie Eberwein in Paris (with a copy of the expertise), formerly Dutch collection of Jan Beekmans (1927 - 2008).
This large and special heart scarab is published and described in the scholarly literature by Hermann A. Schlögl and Regine Buxtorf, Egypt - History in Stone, pages 160–163, and additionally in catalog number 2 of the IADAA Galerie Antonia Eberwein (Paris), object number 42.
The delivery includes the original French export license dated 22.02.2019.
Inscription with a brief summary of the Book of the Dead spell 30 B: 'Osiris, the divine father of Amun-Re, Djed-Chons, the justified one, says: O my heart, O my heart that I had on earth, do not stand against me as a witness, do not oppose me before the tribunal, do not make statements against me before the scale master.'
