A Chinese blue and white porcelain dragon vase, 19th century, of elegant baluster form with a tall waisted neck and slightly flared rim. The vase is decorated in rich cobalt-blue tones with dragons amongst scrolling clouds, reserved against a deep blue ground. The dragons are finely detailed, with expressive heads, scaled bodies and dynamic movement around the body of the vase. The base bears a Kangxi four-character mark in underglaze blue. A highly decorative 19th century blue and white porcelain vase, displaying very well. Size: Height 21cm Condition: Overall in excellent condition. There is a firing crack through the base, visible from the underside and allowing light to pass through. This appears to be a kiln/manufacturing flaw from the firing process rather than later damage. Otherwise No other chips, No hairline cracks, No restorations. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition report.
