This life size portrait was painted by Willy Sluiter in the 1920s in assignment of Paul Citroën (now Schaap en Citroën). Here Willy participated in a competition to paint their jewellery. He won this competition and the painting was put on display in the shop window. Later purchased by Frans van der Horst at Vendu Notarishuis in Rotterdam. This can be seen from minute 31:00 https://www.npostart.nl/van-onschatbare-waarde/12-06-2018/POW_03898161. Then purchased by Ilse Daatselaar in TV program ‘Van Onschatbare Waarde’, Omroep MAX on NPO. Then, off screen, it came in my possession. Properly marked and in very good, original condition. Life-size in terms of image. Sold with original frame.
