the House of Barros:
In 1913 Manuel de Almeida established Almeida & Cª as a Port wine Exporter. Later, when his brother-in-law, Manuel de Barros, became a partner of the Company, its name was changed to Barros, Almeida & Ca. Quinta Dona Matilde formerly "Quinta do Enxodreiro", is where Barros Port wines were produced in the past. The area of production was extended to other properties such as Quinta de S. Luiz when Barros bought Kopke in 1953. Sogevinus group acquired Barros in 2006. Currently, the Barros family purchased Quinta Dona Matilde back, and so Sogevinus, the current owner of Barros brand, is no longer the owner of this quinta.
The lot will be sent in appropriate custom packaging.
