Beautiful gold lacquered tea caddy (Natsume) with a design of palm tree leaves and seashells in gold, brown, and slight shades of grey. The seashells portray pictures of butterflies, plants, and a triple yin yang symbol can be found on the lid to symbolize the perfect balance achieved in threes; the mind, body and spirit.
The tea caddy is in mint condition and comes in a small wooden box. It will be carefully packaged and sent by registered post.

Natsume's are named after the Natsume (jujube) fruit and used in Japan as a statement piece in tearooms. They usually contain fine matcha powder and have been used in tea ceremonies by tea masters since 1563.
