'Cristallo d'acqua' ['Water crystal'] sculpture by the artist Franca Franchi, 2010.
In glass, mirror and coloured crystal on multi-layered recycled glass with base in frosted satinised glass measuring 1.5 cm in thickness.
In perfect condition, like new (the cracks in the multi-layered glass are deliberate and stabilised).
Dimensions: 48 x 35 x 25 cm.
This lovely tabletop sculpture made entirely with recycled materials by the artist Franca Franchi (Gillo Dorfles - 'Gli artisti che ho incontrato' (The artists I have met) SKIRA 2015 pag. 848) combines the delicate pastel tones of the pieces of coloured glass with the reflective effect of the mirrors in a completely personal reconstruction of the water crystals of the
Japanese researcher Masaro Emoto. In this case, it regards the "positive" shapes that express gratitude for the environment around us that, thanks to the use of the mirrors, is reflected in the composition, becoming part of the artistic creation.
Sculpture featured in the general catalogue of the works, Giorgio Mondadori publishers 2010.
