In the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, these bread cutting machines were very popular in Denmark. They were marketed by several manufacturers, of which Raadvad is the best known.
It was about the same for all manufacturers.
This chrome-coloured machine is from Nilbro and is quite rare.
Apart from the handle and knife, this model is made entirely of wrought iron.
Furthermore, it is partly foldable, which resulted in space savings.
The machine is in good condition, especially given its age, but with signs of wear. Not surprising with a mechanical machine.
The cutter can still be used for what it was made for but also forms an attractive decorative object.
