The RMS Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mary's improved sister ship, was a British transatlantic liner that sailed for Cunard Line. During World War II, both ships were used as troop transports between the United States and the United Kingdom. Following the principle of the Queen Mary, it is named in honour of Queen consort Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, wife of King George VI and mother of the current Queen Elizabeth II.
Retired in 1968, a fire broke out on board on 9 January 1972 in Hong Kong Bay. The boat is then abandoned and dismantled.
