2-Speed Direct-Drive Stereo record player (1971-1972).
With an original PC-15 cartridge.
The Sony 2250 is a professional record player with many outstanding features. An advanced servo-controlled direct drive system eliminates the vibrations and noise normally emitted by a motor and ensures a regular turntable speed.
The speed of the motor is not affected by the AC frequency because the independent servo system perfectly controls the AC motor.
The balanced platter made of cast aluminium weighs a good 1.5 kg. This generates an impulse with a good flywheel effect.
The newly designed statically balanced arm has excellent operation with every good quality cartridge. This precision arm has an instantly readable needle pressure and a simple anti-skating and lateral compensation.
There is a strobe to calibrate the rotation speed and buttons for speed selection as an extra on the 2250.
