Rare and fine okimono depicting a fish seller with many types of fish hanging down. Made with incredibile realism, a great variety of fish can be made out.

Signed in lacquer under the base.
In excellent condition with natural veining to the ivory consistent with age.  There is a glued crack on the hat, as marked in red in the photos.

A Japanese item from the Meiji period.
The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. 

The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer.
