Monumental okimono depicting a geisha with a mask in one hand and a branch with flowers in the other
Made in one large block of ivory weighing approx. 4.5 kg, it represents the perfect marriage between exceptional size and excellent quality in execution.
Note the beauty of the face and refinement of the kimono, decorated with a riot of flowers.

Signed 'Kiyomiki' in lacquer under the base 
In excellent condition with natural veining in the ivory consistent with the period
Some natural veining on the sides of the face

A Japanese item from the Meiji period 
The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. 

The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer.
