Large ship plans of MV Empire Chapman built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast in 1942, a member of a number of convoys during the Second World War, equipped with Anti-torpedo nets.
Plans have all different measurements eg 170 cm by 90 cm, 70 cm by 90 cm, most very large.
In 1946, Empire Chapman was sold to the British Tanker Co Ltd and was renamed British Commando. She served until 1959 (scrapped at Bruges),
38 plans are in reasonable condition, 5 plans are not in good condition. 35 are on paper, 8 are on drafting linen, including blueprints. Some of the plans contain annotations, finger prints, coffee stains and even a little drawing. See photos for the condition. All the plans are all folded showing folding lines,
