Buen estado, ver descripción - 26×6×5 cm

Large and refined okimono depicting 'Sarumawashi' the monkey trainer, a typical Japanese figure of street entertainer. The monkey was indeed a rare animal in Japan and created great curiosity.
Muneharu signature (Kyoto school) in red lacquer under the base.

On the whole it appears to be in good condition, with minimal veining consistent with its age.
It has minimal restoration to the monkey hoop shown in red in the photos.

Japanese object from the Meiji period.
