These kinds of imposing stained-glass windows are hardly ever on the market. Made in 1919 in memory of the silver jubilee of three honourable sisters offered by the parish Haastrecht.
The scene is: Peter of Verona, Dominican and martyr from Duecento.
In wooden frame with the metal rod and hung window.
Carried out by Atelier F. Nicolas en Zonen. This was a Dutch company in Roermond (1855-1939), specialised in making stained glass and stained-glass windows. The collaboration with architect Pierre Cuypers was beneficial for the company, as a result many assignments came in for new windows. The studio grew into the largest company in this field. Stained-glass windows from the studio F. Nicolas and Sons were delivered to churches, companies and individuals at home and abroad. Thirty-five windows were made by the family between 1897 and 2002 for the Sint-Pancratiusbasiliek in Tubbergen.
Total size 213 x 135
