François Chevalier is an artist and former race car driver. He drove the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice and won the prestigious Luigi Chinetti trophy. He was also the former director of the Circuit Paul Ricard.
When it comes to artistic style, his sketches tend to focus on the vehicle, with recognisable but more abstract figures. He also likes to put the vehicles in an appropriate and detailed setting.
His racing experiences convey an intimate knowledge of the dynamics of race cars and his biggest flaw is that his dominant modesty must be put aside in order for his work to be accessible to a wider audience!
