Zunari Kabuto samurai helmet.
Period: 16th century late Muromachi - Momoyama
Very heavy Kabuto weighing 3.970 kg and made of 5 very thick steel blades to withstand the advent of firearms. There are two unperforated musket bullet marks, one of which is in the visor area.

There are traces of red lacquer inside the visor. The interior fabric is very worn by time. Please see the photos.
Maedate of the Kaga clan in black and gold lacquered wood. Edo period. The size is 8.5 cm x 9.5 cm which corresponds to the size used by samurais of middle or lower rank.
