Oak interspersed with ebony and rosewood.
Also very nice is that it has three ball feet, often only two, and the open worked arches between the ball feet.
Special is also the expertly executed carving in the hood.
These scallops are called 'counted money' as they look like coins that half cover each other.
With black tears in the intersection.
A few fell out and when I checked, half of them were loose but I glued them all back up and not one is missing.
This is a classic Dutch antiques from the affluent Golden Age.
Completely original, complete with lock and forged key.
