Corporal bag; dimensions: 26 x 26 cm.
The corporal bag is a quadrangular pouch used to hold the corporal once folded. The bag, with the corporal inside, was used, together with the veil, to cover the chalice and paten on the way from the sacristy to the altar and back. The bag, no longer in use today, consists of two rigid quadrangular plates, generally made of cardboard, lined with linen or silk on the inside and with the fabric and colour of the liturgical vestments on the outside, sewn on three sides and finished with cords and corner tassels. This specimen has a cross decoration on the front face.
