Saint Thomas.

According to the gospels, he belonged to "the twelve", the circle of Jesus' most intimate disciples, which He himself gave the name "apostle" (= "missionary" or "sane"). Sometimes he is nicknamed 'Dydimus' (= 'Gemini')
Thomas is often depicted with a book and a hook. That's because of a legend about Saint Thomas. In that legend, King Gondofer of India asks Thomas to build a great palace. Thomas, however, gives all the money to the people. When the king finds out, he wants to burn him alive.
Patron saint for; Architects, surveyors, stonemasons, carpenters (and all construction workers), theologians, blind people.

The image is in good condition with remnants of polychromy.
