An old ship’s lamp from the well-known Scottish manufacturer RC Murray & Co.
This manufacturer made a lot of ship lamps in Glasgow and was first based at Pollockshaws. Started in 1865 and stopped in 1997. On the lamp this first location is stated, hence the assumption that this is a very old lamp.
The glass is in good condition and has a mark (see photo). The red insert glass is also fine.
The lamp is equipped with a fitting with light source. Also a cord with a switch.
Operation is excellent as can be seen in the pictures.
I have estimated its age and it can therefore be of an earlier or later period.
Many photos have been added for a good impression of the condition of the lamp. Also a photo with a wine bottle for an impression of its size.
Photos are part of the description.
The lamp will be thoroughly packaged and shipped with track & trace, insured and registered.
