Collection of 25 stereo photographs of the Second Boer War (1899–1902), fought between the Republic of South Africa (Transvaal) and the Orange Free State on one side, and the British Empire on the other.
The series was produced by Underwood & Underwood (New York, London, Toronto, Ottawa) which produced and sold stereoscopes and stereo images internationally. It was synonymous with excellent quality.
22 photographs with captions on the back in six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish and Russian). 2 also feature a long description (in English only) of the context in which the photo was taken; 3 photos, on the other hand, have no caption.
The photos, given their age, are more than in good condition, except for three pairs that are partly detached and/or with small damages (as shown in the photos).
