THE REAL ORIGINAL GUMBALL MACHINE with inscription 'PAT PEND' (patent pending).
Marked: " ANTWERP-BELGIUM - "BRABO" - PAT NO 2537317 ".
A 1948 design/patent by Harold T. Probasco, then owner of the Oak Manufacturing Company.
This copy is one of the first models. ALL PARTS ARE ORIGINAL! Flap at the front with "thank you" (inscription not present at later editions!). Coin dispenser made for the old 5 (Belgian) franc coins (1x included), with at that time an ongoing patent application (approved 1951). Younger models don’t have this mention anymore.
Bottom, cabinet and lid are of cast aluminium, painted red on the outside. The bell jar is from Makrolon, a registered trademark of a more temperature-resistant polycarbonate. Later models are mainly made of plastic.
Condition: Good (in original condition). Technically in order. Used copy for further signs of wear, see photos.
