Original - Cobre - En excelente estado

Beautiful trench art and exclusive large shell of German origin. The lot consists of three pieces of which two trench art shells "POLTE MAGDEBURG 1917" and a shell "KARLSRUHE 1917". Diameter 8 cm, height 23 cm.

Especially the large shell is quite unique and almost impossible to obtain. This comes from the "cartridge factory" from Karruhe and is equipped with all essential information (SF 255 and stamp factory). Also unique are the three impacts of the hammer to ensure inflammation. For light shell casings, this is only 1. Such shell casings come from a heavy Krupp cannon. 22 cm in diameter, 23 cm tall, a weight of 5.7 kilograms. The combined weight is 7.6 grams. Origin region Passendaele Belgium.

Trench art originates from the two warring parties in the first world war. Soldiers sometimes had to wait a very long time before they could take action. All this time was filled in in a creative way, editing shell casings.

Will be sent by registered and insured shipment.
