Furca mauretanica from the Fezouata Lagerstätten. Ordovician. Morocco.
Restoration details: No restoration. The slab has been prepared to display the fossil, touching it the less possible.
The specimen exhibits all three pairs of arms perfectly displayed and pluma-like soft structures in most of them.
Also note the presence (rarely seen) of one additional appendix, between the central pair of arms. It is connected to the central part of the body and it is, maybe, part of the digestive system.
Compared to the badly prepared, incomplete and often painted ones sold for huge prices, this one is a fair deal with guarantees of authenticity.
