EFS - Sachs - 50 cc - 1991

Moto Sachs from 1978 but with first registration in 1991. In excellent preservation condition. Motorcycle with 50 cc of engine displacement, free of inspections, free of circulation taxes. Pick up in Portugal or shipping if buyer pay all costs thereof. Born in 1910 and founded by Eurico Ferreira de Sucena in Aveiro, EFS began by manufacturing bicycle saddles. The founder had the opportunity to emigrate to Brazil, as a result, Sucena leaves for the other side of the Atlantic in search of fortune. Subsequently, in 1921, he returned to Portugal and resumed with the company Sucena & Filhos, Lda., still dedicating himself to the manufacture of bicycle parts. It wasn't until 1939 that he started building high-quality complete vehicles. In 1947, EFS Lda. becomes EF Sucena & Filhos, Lda., because Eurico Sucena gives the society to his three children: Eduardo (production director), António (moulds and prototypes and maintenance director) and Ernesto (financial and commercial director). Later in 1950, Sucena built the first motorcycles in Borralha but it was hard to make the children agree to manufacture them in series. Two years later, the first EFS mopeds with English Villiers engines begin to be marketed. Meanwhile, in 1956, the first EFS with Zündapp engine, whose RN 1956 model was very successful, and until 1964, EFS is always faithful to the German engines of João Casal. The motorized brand stood out for the quality of construction, paintwork and chrome which, after 1967, begins to diversify the origin of the engines adapting, in addition to Casal engines and Sachs engines. Models that marked EFS - 1956: RN sport with three-speed Zündapp engine – 75 units per day were built. 1970: the Sport model with four-speed double engine with advances intended to give replica to the Sachs V5.
