The impressive etching "Le Soleil couchant allonge = The setting sun spreads" was published in 1973 in the work "Roi, je t' attends a Babylone = King I await you in Babylon". The etching was printed on vellum.
The etching is hand-signed by Dali and is marked with the number 63/150.
The sheet belongs to the portfolio with a suite of 12 etchings on vellum.
The complete work contains 14 drypoint etchings, whereby the engraving work was executed from pencil and ink drawings and finally reworked with a drypoint by Salvador Dali. Ateliers Rigal misplaced these special etchings.
