This translation of the New Testament into Greek and Latin was made by studio et industria Des. Erasmus in Roterodami
The book is a complete translation of the New Testament from Matthew chapter 1 to Revelation chapter 22 and includes a foreword (20 pages).
The actual translation is shown in two columns, Greek and Latin, and some additional infromation is given in the margin. (820 pp.)
Followed by a summary and an explanation (35 pages). There is a text reference list (3 pages)
The book used to have two simple clasps that are now gone, which is clearly visible
Partly because of this the book does not look very good. The corners of the cover are somewhat worn.
The bookblock is beautiful, except for an occasional spot
The cover is made of leather in which an artistic relief is printed, the spine has 4 raised bands, but is a bit worn, especially on the corners.
This special translation of the New Testament was made by and/or under the direction of the well-known scholar Desiderius Erasmus
This famous Rotterdam philosopher still lives on in Dutch history.
