Very fine embroidery on brownish silk (30 x 15 cm) with a small border, framed in a later silk brocade border with ornaments (37.5 x 22 cm)
In a glass frame (Jena glass, anti-reflective). Frame: real gold frame, 43 x 27.5 cm
The gold of the frame has scratches due to age.
This type of embroidery was very popular in the late Qing period, especially among foreigners residing in Beijing and Shanghai. That is why these braids were often exported at the time.
