2011 Louis Latour - Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru - 1 Botella (0,75 L)
Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is a single-varietal Chardonnay white wine classified as an AOC Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wine made by Louis Latour. Louis Latour is a winery with more than two centuries of history linked to Burgundy. It was founded in 1797 and is currently run by the eleventh generation of the same family. It owns about 50 hectares in several of the most famous appellations in the region and is associated with several winegrowers who supply it with grapes. It produces wines known for their quality and even has its own cooperage. The Latour family owns 11 hectares in the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru appellation, making them the largest owner of it. The Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru vineyards have an average age of 30 years and their soils are limestone and stony. They are exposed to the southeast, produce an average of 40 hectoliters per hectare and are harvested entirely by hand as late as possible so that the grapes are fully ripe. Once in the winery, the Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is vinified by fermenting it in new oak barrels. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and ends up being aged in medium-toasted barrels for 8 to 10 months. Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is a white Chardonnay wine from an exceptional vineyard for the cultivation of this variety; an intense, complex and deep wine.
