Bronce - Signed 'Seiya saku' 誠谷作 - Un okimono de bronce de una joven japonesa caminando con una botella en forma de calabaza. - Período Meiji (finales del siglo XIX)
A bronze okimono depicting a Japanese walking young woman, holding in her left hand a gourd-shaped bottle (hyōtan, 瓢箪) and slightly lifting the hem of her kimono.
Signed on the base.
Weight: 1,8 kg.
Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze.
