2005 Grans-Fassian, Trittenheimer Riesling - Mosela Auslese - 4 Botellas (0,75 L)

NO RESERVE PRICE - Grans-Fassian 2005 Trittenheimer Riesling Auslese – 4 Full-Size Bottles from Original 6-Bottle Box. We are pleased to offer an exclusive lot of four bottles of the Grans-Fassian 2005 Trittenheimer Riesling Auslese, sourced directly from the original six-bottle Grans-Fassian cardboard box. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a top-tier Mosel Riesling from a legendary vintage, produced by one of Germany’s most respected estates. The Producer: Weingut Grans-Fassian Weingut Grans-Fassian, located in Leiwen in the Mosel Valley, has been crafting expressive Rieslings since 1624. Under the leadership of Catherina Grans, the estate continues its tradition of precision viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the unique terroir of its steep, slate-rich vineyards to shine through. As a member of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter), Grans-Fassian belongs to Germany’s elite group of wine estates. The VDP classification system is a hallmark of quality, and the presence of the VDP eagle on the capsule signifies authenticity and excellence. The estate’s vineyards are classified according to strict criteria, with the Trittenheimer Apotheke designated as a Grosse Lage, the highest classification for vineyard sites in Germany. The Vineyard: Trittenheimer Apotheke – Grosse Lage The grapes for this Auslese come from the renowned Trittenheimer Apotheke, a steep, south-facing slope with slate soils that consistently produces wines of exceptional depth, minerality, and aging potential. Its classification as a Grosse Lage underscores its historical significance and proven ability to yield wines of the highest caliber. The Wine: Auslese 2005 – A Rare and Opulent Expression Auslese represents a higher level of ripeness and concentration than Kabinett, offering a richer, more opulent style while retaining the elegance and balance that define Mosel Riesling. The 2005 vintage is considered one of the finest in recent decades, producing wines with superb structure, ripe fruit, and outstanding longevity. This Auslese displays a deep golden hue and a complex aromatic profile of candied citrus, ripe peach, honeycomb, and subtle herbal notes, all underpinned by the signature slate minerality of the site. On the palate, it is lush and layered, with vibrant acidity balancing the natural sweetness, leading to a long, harmonious finish. Provenance and Condition These bottles were imported directly from Grans-Fassian to the Czech Republic in late May 2004, as part of our long-standing relationship with the estate. As the official importer since 2003, we have ensured optimal handling and storage from the moment of arrival. The wines have been professionally cellared in our OHMS Connoisseurs' Choice Wine Cellar, where temperature and humidity are meticulously controlled to support ideal aging conditions. Of the original six bottles: Four bottles are being offered for sale. One bottle was opened for tasting; while its capsule was not perfectly intact, the wine was in superb condition, confirming the integrity of the lot. One bottle will be retained for personal enjoyment and for future tastings, how this amazing wine evolves in next few years. The remaining four bottles are in excellent condition, with intact capsules and well-preserved labels bearing the Grans-Fassian and VDP insignia. Fill levels are ideal, reflecting optimal storage. Drinking Window and Collectibility Now entering its peak maturity, this Auslese offers a deeply rewarding drinking experience and will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 10–15 years. Due to its rarity, provenance, and the prestige of both the producer and vineyard site, this wine holds strong appeal for collectors and serious enthusiasts alike. Shipping and Buyer Confidence. We ship quickly, securely, and fully insured. Please refer to our customer feedback and ratings on our Catawiki.com profile for assurance of quality and service.
