Library Edition) 21,5 x 14,5 cm. Green cloth with black spine panels and gold lettering and
decorations, top edges gilt. Virtually a reprint of the William Paterson edition of 1892 and the John Grant edition of 1906. It includes the Life of Cervantes and Notes by J. G. Lockhart,
the Notes in a revised form. The photogravure frontispieces are unsigned and
uncaptioned, but are in fact reproduced from four of the etchings by Adolphe Lalauze
included in the Paterson and Grant editions. ‘National Library Edition’ appears only on the spines.
