The body swells gently at the base and rises into a tall, elegant neck that flares outward at the rim. Three ornamental rings are attached at the midsection, serving both as a decorative element and as a reference to classical vessel designs. The deep, lustrous patina of the alloy enhances the sculptural quality of the vase, emphasizing its curves and the crisp detailing of the ring handles. Solidly cast and precisely finished, the work embodies strength and elegance, making it suitable for use as a flower vase or as a striking standalone display piece. He graduated from the Painting Department of Takaoka Technical High School of Industrial Arts in 1950 and studied under Kin Hitoshi, a member of the Nihon Bijutsuin (Japan Art Institute). In 1954, he completed his studies at the Department of Japanese Painting, Tama Art University, while also training under his hometown mentor, painter Kurachijin, and studying at the Chuo Art Research Institute in Shinjuku, Tokyo. After briefly serving as a teacher at Yodobashi Junior High School in Shinjuku from June 1954, Nousaku returned to Takaoka in 1961 to take over the family business, the bronze casting workshop Nousaku Seisakusho. Under the guidance of Kanespring Nousaku III, he devoted himself to design innovation and the development of new techniques, contributing significantly to the advancement of Takaoka bronze work. His achievements include awards at the Toyama Prefectural Art Exhibition, the Takaoka Industrial Products Promotion Exhibition, and the Nihon Geiten (Japan Art Exhibition), as well as prizes at the Toyama Prefectural Metal Casting Skills Competition. He has also held solo exhibitions at the Marushou Gallery in Yokohama and the Seikado Gallery in Tokyo. Notably, he won the top prize at the Takaoka Traditional Craft Exhibition and continued to receive further awards in subsequent years. Appearance Please see photos for details.
