Cope2 is one of the most important graffiti artists of the Movement. In New York, his creative legacy still influences the younger generation.
When he starts in 1978, Fernando Carlo, Jr (alias COPE2) is like every kid in his squad: he wants to express himself and get noticed by his peers. The small squad writes their respective names on the subways and walls of their neighbourhood. An underground action, totally cut off from the regular system. He soon establishes himself as the 'King of line 4', who paints the most and the best. Very active in the 1980s and 1990s, he was the subject of several documentaries, biographies were dedicated to him.
